The first WWE SmackDown of February 2023 will feature a SmackDown Women's Championship match and a SmackDown Tag Team Championship Number One Contender match.
Following the WWE Royal Rumble event, the first SmackDown of February 2023 will feature two bouts with championship implications as The Road to WrestleMania gets underway.
First, Charlotte Flair has agreed to give Sonya Deville one more opportunity at the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship after weeks of Deville being a thorn in the side of "The Queen."
In tag team action, the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship Top Contender Tournament finals will take place as Imperium takes on the makeshift team of Ricochet and Braun Strowman.
Imperium defeated Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde of Legado Del Fantasma. Strowman and Ricochet were impromptu entrants into the tournament as Sheamus and Drew McIntyre willingly forfeited their spot in the semifinals as they were attacked by Viking Raiders Erik and Ivar while making their entrance. Strowman and Ricochet would defeat Ashante Adonis & Top Dolla of Hit Row.
It'll be #Imperium vs. #BraunStrowman and @KingRicochet in the finals of this #TagTeamTournament!
