Tatum Paxley Says Her Finisher Being Named 'The Psycho Trap' Was A Misunderstanding

Tatum Paxley says her finisher name was a misunderstanding.

Paxley has become a staple of NXT programming in recent months, and one part of her in ring work that has drawn attention is her finisher, 'The Psycho Trap'. However, this was not the name that Paxley originally had in mind for the maneuver.

While speaking during a recent Twitch stream with fellow NXT name Javi Bernal, Paxley noted that her original name was a tribute to a trap from the iconic horror franchise, Saw.

“The Cycle Trap from Saw is the saw trap that the kid got lowered into, and it had spiraling blades – that’s called the Cycle Trap. The funny thing is, I said, ‘I would like to call this the Cycle Trap’. The assumption was obviously that I must have said ‘Psycho’. So, 'Psycho Trap', the name was then born from that. But I said Cycle."

In recent weeks, Paxley and Wendy Choo have had interactions and have seemingly formed a friendship. You can read more about that here.
