Ted DiBiase On Vince McMahon: Say What You Want, Good And Bad, We All Have Our Issues. He Changed Wrestling Forever

Ted DiBiase says it's hard to understand that Vince McMahon is gone from WWE.

In January 2024, Vince McMahon resigned from WWE and TKO shortly after Janel Grant filed a lawsuit in which she alleged that McMahon and John Laurinaitis engaged in sexual assault of her. McMahon denied the allegations, but he is under federal investigation.

Speaking with Bill Apter and Dr. Chris Featherstone for Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase was asked whether he could have ever imagined a Vince McMahon-less WWE.

“No. That’s really hard for me, even today, to understand that he is no longer associated with the organization that he built. Say what you want, good and bad, we all have our issues, but the one thing Vince did was he changed the wrestling industry forever and made it mainstream. Before, pro wrestling was pretty much a blue collar crowd form of entertainment. I can remember, I was in Japan on a tour, picked up the paper, WrestleMania 3 sets indoor world attendance record, 93,000 people at the Pontiac Silverdome. I went, well, what I know is, if I’m gonna stay relevant in the United States, I’m gonna have to go to work for Vince McMahon," DiBiase said.
