The charge is complete.
Tegan Nox made her return to NXT at NXT Great American Bash, revealing herself as the person behind the batter charging vignettes. For the past few weeks, NXT had hyped a new or returning competitor by showing a battery slowing charging. The charge went up 10% with each vignette shown.
Nox made her return in the middle of the NXT Women's Tag Team Title bout between Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell against Io Shirai & Zoey Stark. The distraction cost The Way, leading to Stark hitting the K360 on Hartwell to capture the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships.

This marks the first NXT Women's Tag Team Title reign for Io Shirai & Zoey Stark.
Nox had been sidelined since September 2020 with a torn ACL. On-screen, she was attacked by Candice LeRae. Nox competed in a dark match ahead of the July 5 episode of WWE Raw.
