The first-ever Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match has been announced for the August 16 episode of AEW Dynamite.
In a promo on the August 11 episode of AEW Rampage, Jeff Jarrett announced that, in conjunction with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre videogame, he will face Jeff Hardy in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match. He referred to it as the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match Championship, but it is not clear whether they will compete for a title. Jarrett also teased that Leatherface "just might be in the house."

Additionally, Orange Cassidy will defend the AEW International Championship against Wheeleer Yuta. Cassidy defeated Johnny TV to retain the title on the August 11 episode of AEW Rampage. Yuta then challenged him to a title match.
