A new NWA Heavyweight Champion has been crowned.
Thom Latimer added another NWA title to his résumé and became the NWA Heavyweight Champion. On Saturday, Latimer defeated EC3 at NWA '76 in the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. EC3 held the "Ten Pounds of Gold" Championship title for 370 days.

The wrestling veteran Latimer has not lost a match in a singles competition since October 2023. His last loss was against EC3 at NWA Samhain.
Latimer was previously the NWA National Champion but vacated the title for the opportunity to challenge for the NWA Heavyweight Championship. Mims became the new NWA National Champion earlier in the evening when he defeated Bryan Idol, Burchill, and Carson Drake in a four-way match.
This title win marks the fourth different championship that Thom Latimer has held since joining the company in 2019. Latimer has been the NWA National Champion and World Television Champion and was one-half of the NWA World Tag Team Champions with Royce Isaacs. Latimer is the first UK-born wrestler to hold the title since Nick Aldis did in 2021.
The NWA Heavyweight Championship was one of four title changes at the event. The NWA United States Tag Team Champion titles went to The Country Gentlemen after they defeated Daisy Kill and Talos, The Fixers, and The Slimeballz in a four-way tag match. There were new NWA Women's Tag Team Champions as Ella Envy and Miss Star defeated The King Bees to become champions.
Sold out crowd.
