Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa will have to wait to sort out their issues in the Fight Pit.
Earlier today, it was noted that in their digital previews for tonight's NXT New Year's Evil event, Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa’s match inside the Fight Pit was no longer being advertised.
Later in the day, WWE digital platforms began reporting that William Regal was in meetings with WWE training staff and would provide an update as soon as possible. The update has now come through. In a video released on social media, William Regal announced that Timothy Thatcher had suffered an injury while training for the Fight Pit and as a result, the medical staff could not clear him “in good conscience.”
No official timetable was given for the return of Timothy Thatcher, but it was stated that he would return “soon” and when he was cleared, he and Ciampa would still be stepping inside the structure to settle their differences.
