TM61 Says Authors Of Pain Are The Monkeys On Their Back

TM61 trained hard for their match against Authors of Pain.

Known collectively as TM61, Nick Miller and Shane Thorne have been competing in the NXT tag team division since 2016 and even made it to the finals of the 2016 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. They both have been injured during their time at NXT and Miller spoke with WWE.com about that experience.

“In NXT, both of us have been injured at times where it cost us some major momentum. While frustrating, you really learn a lot about yourself and your partner when you are standing still and unable to compete,” said Miller.

Last week on NXT, TM61 was knocked out of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic by Authors of Pain who also defeated them in the 2016 tournament. Miller said he was disappointed.

“AOP is a monkey on our back. We lost to them in the finals of the 2016 Dusty Rhodes Classic, and when we saw that we had them in the first round of this year’s Dusty Classic, we trained as hard as possible. We were so focused, yet to go in and lose in the first round hurt a lot, both physically and mentally. It’s been tough,” said Miller.

In the rest of the interview, Miller's teammate Thorne explained how the trainers at the WWE Performance Center helped him and Miller recover from injury.
