On Wednesday, AEW announced the impending debut of AEW Dark: Elevation. The show is set to air Mondays on AEW's YouTube channel at 7 p.m. ET.
When AEW signed an extension with TNT in January 2020, a second show was part of the deal, though details weren't revealed.
The initial press release stated, "the parties have agreed to launch another night of AEW action, offering more of the fans’ favorite wrestlers, with a second show straight-to- series." It was never specified if the show would be airing on TNT or a different WarnerMedia network. A second show never premiered in 2020.
With news of AEW Dark: Elevation, some believed this was the second show hyped by AEW and Warner when the extension was signed. AEW President Tony Khan said that is not the case and a second show is still coming.
That’s also still happening in 2021! And we’ll have more info tonight on #AEWDynamite about the arrival of @PaulWight here in @AEW, and about the launch and details for #AEWDark: Elevation, which is coming very soon!
