Tony Khan discusses working with STARDOM.
ROH has started working with STARDOM recently, as company president Taro Okada attended AEW Dynamite: Big Business, and Tony Khan shared a picture with him. ROH Supercard of Honor featured a STARDOM showcase, as Mei Seira, Mina Shirakawa and Maika defeated Tam Nakano, Saya Kamitani, and AZM.
During the ROH Supercard of Honor post-show media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about the company's relationship with STARDOM and whether there had been a lack of communication with the previous regime. Khan emphasized that he had a better relationship with STARDOM's new management and noted that STARDOM wrestlers could be brought onto AEW/ROH programming now. Khan stated that he wished they could have started working together sooner, and he highlighted Megan Bayne's excursion.
"There’s been a wrestler from AEW, Megan Bayne, who had a great run in Stardom. I thought it was a great excursion, but there has probably not been as much communication as I would have liked. I’d say there’s been more communication just in a couple of weeks than there had been in several years. It speaks to the great management at STARDOM now," Khan said.
Fightful Select previously reported that Megan Bayne had been signed to AEW for over a year.
Ahead of ROH Supercard of Honor, Tony Khan said that it was a new day regarding working with STARDOM. Check out his comments here.
