1Trick Williams has been the face of the NXT brand for nearly a year, but as NXT is WWE's developmental brand, there are always new stars on the rise. During a recent appearance on The WHIP Show Podcast's NXT with Najee, Williams was asked about the specific stars at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, that he sees being able to become big stars in NXT.
Before praising the overall work ethic and depth of the developmental wrestlers, Trick Williams singled out Malik Blade as a star that he feels hasn't shown fans everything he's capable of yet.
"There's a few guys who I think are special. I think Malik Blake, he's one of the guys who's yet to show what he's truly capable of," said Trick. "In the NXT locker room, and man, I ain't gonna lie to you, Najee, there's probably a group of guys, probably about 30 deep, athletic, have a look, have charisma, and they all are right here just waiting as soon as one of them steps up like the rocket can be strapped in. NXT can have another superstar in a matter of time, just like that. But it's hard to say which one it is, because I don't know who wants it the most.
"I do feel like Malik Blade is a guy who's putting the work in for a very long time. I'd like to see him get a shot. For the rest? Man, it's just too many to name. I think a lot of them got potential. I just don't know which one is going to break out and be the guy to carry a brand like NXT, you know?"
