Triple H Says He 'Can't Comment About Legal Stuff' When Asked About WWE Cooperating With Federal Investigation

Triple H gives no comment.

Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis on January 25 alleging sex trafficking and sexual assault. It was reported in February by the Wall Street Journal that McMahon was under federal investigation for sexual assault and sex trafficking. The civil lawsuit was paused in June as the federal investigation continues.

WWE previously stated that they are cooperating with the federal investigation.

At the WWE Money in the Bank press conference, Triple H was askedby Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics if that is the case.

Triple H replied, "I can't talk about legal stuff at the moment."

As part of the pause, the motion to compel arbitration by the defendants' has been denied "without prejudice," meaning the motions can be renewed when the case resumes. Grant’s motion to strike a portion of McMahon’s earlier filing was also denied as moot.

The defendants argued that the dispute should move to private arbitration, citing details in the nondisclosure agreement Grant and McMahon signed in January 2022.
