The Undertaker speaks on the moment he shared with Bray Wyatt at WWE Raw XXX and comments on comparisons between the Bray Wyatt character and the character he played for 30 years.
WWE Raw XXX was a special night in the WWE Universe meant to celebrate the past and spotlight the future. One such moment that accomplished just that occurred between Bray Wyatt and The Undertaker. Undertaker confronted LA Knight, Bray Wyatt's current rival. Instead of Chokeslamming the braggadocious heel, Undertaker allowed Wyatt to drop Knight with Sister Abigail before the two shared a brief moment where the Undertaker appeared to whisper something to "The Eater of Worlds."
While both men have previously commented on their interaction via social media, Mark Calaway, the man behind the character of The Undertaker, recently appeared on Sportsnet's Tim & Friends and addressed the buzz around the moment he shared with Bray and the comparisons between the characters of Bray Wyatt and The Undertaker.
"There's, obviously, a huge amount of comparisons between his character and mine," said the WWE Hall of Famer. "He's his own guy. He's his own character. I don't think it's fair to him to compare what he does to what I did. In the big scheme of things, it's in the same supernatural genre, but it's 2023, and he's doing his own thing, but I can appreciate — I can see what he's trying to do. I just let him know, too, that my phone's always on, and if he needs to talk to me about things or run things by me, that's cool. I would be more than glad to share my experiences with him and hopefully shine some light on questions that he has moving forward. So yeah, it was a cool moment, and it did exactly what I thought it would do."
The Undertaker and Bray Wyatt have wrestled each other several times in the past with Bray Wyatt being the first person The Undertaker faced, at WrestleMania 31 in 2015, after losing his fabled WrestleMania streak to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX in 2014.
As for the Bray Wyatt character moving forward, Wyatt recently stated that one side of his personality that fans should not expect to see again is "The Fiend." Bray recently said that that iteration of his character died at WrestleMania 37. Fans can read more about that here.
