UFC Hall of Famer Stephan Bonnar will move to the squared circle, years after his most recent MMA fight.
Bonnar told TMZ that he'll make his debut at Inman's Bowling Alley July 16 in Valparaiso, Indiana with fellow former UFC fighter Phil Baroni teaming with him
"The Real Shooters are gonna come put a hurting on you," Bonnar said. "I really enjoy inflicting pain on people."
Bonnar was reportedly training for a pro wrestling debut in 2012 before he stepped in at UFC 153 to face Anderson Silva in Bonnar's final UFC fight. Bonnar would fail a post-fight drug test, and UFC President Dana White told MMA Weekly that he was looking to transition.
"He wasn’t planning on fighting. He said that he was practicing to maybe do some pro wrestling and whatever the excuse is."
Bonnar showed up to the UFC 153 media workouts almost comically tan and jacked, raising eyebrows. He last fought in 2014 in a losing effort against Tito Ortiz at Bellator 131.
UPDATE: Bonnar has posted a video of himself training ahead of his debut, which you can check out below.
