William Regal and Triple H have a relationship that goes back to Triple H's early days in WCW. Now, both men are out in the forefront of the NXT brand, and Regal says that they have a bond where they are in sync without even saying words to each other.
Speaking to Inside The Ropes, William Regal described the relationship between he and Triple H, By saying even though they are friendlier with others, there is a bond that is just as strong.
“We barely talk. We're closer than that. You can't even say friends or whatever. It's a different bond between us that it's hard to explain and he knows it as well,” Regal began. “He's got people that he will say are his best friends and I, like Robbie Brookside is my best friend. I don't have to know what [Triple H] is thinking and he's so far advanced on my thinking, that's why I sit like a little pop because I go I would have never thought of that in a million years or thought that was possible. But, he knows what I'm good at and he knows I can take care of anything. And literally we can look at each other from across an arena and he can just go [gives a glance] and I know what he's thinking and he knows what I'm thinking, and I take care of it while he's doing this thing. And then he brings his bit and I bring my bit. That's why we bonded on the first day I ever met him. I saw a like-minded soul.”
William Regal is currently the on-screen general manager of the NXT brand and is also heavily involved in recruiting for the NXT brand, which is, of course, spearheaded by Triple H.
