WWE Raw (11/27/23) Results: CM Punk's First Raw In A Decade, Randy Orton Returns After 18 Months

On November 27, 2023, WWE hosted a new episode of Monday Night Raw on the USA Network.

Following an electric WWE Survivor Series, this week's episode of Monday Night Raw features the return of CM Punk and Randy Orton to the show. Also, WWE has announced that Cody Rhodes will have an announcement for the WWE Universe.

WWE announced previously that the first hour of this week's show will air commercial-free as the road to the Royal Rumble begins.

WWE Raw (11/27/23) Results

- They aired a Survivor Series recap vignette.

- Randy Orton kicked off the show. He says he's back for as long as he physically can be. He says he came back to make history and compete in his first war games match. However, he also came back to finish some business with The Bloodline. He promises receipts in the form of RKOs for all of them. Judgment Day's Rhea Ripley shows up to interrupt him. Ripley says Judgment Day can put Randy Orton down permanently. The crowd feverishly chants for him to drop her with an RKO. He doesn't. Instead, he says that nobody will ever tell him what to do. He's attacked from behind by JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio. The numbers game doesn't work out as he drops JD with an RKO and sets up a match with Mysterio for later tonight.

- A segment is shown from earlier in the day with all of the tag teams involved in Tag Team Turmoil. They announced that CMA Award winner Jellyroll is going to be watching the match. That doesn't matter, because R-Truth is here. He's looking for platinum jelly rolls. Truth goes off to catering to find these jelly rolls he heard about and tells Akira Tozawa to hit his dance. Tonight, he called the dance the jelly roll. This past Saturday, it was the Ruffles Shuffle. In any case, the crowd of people told him it was nasty.

* Tag Team Turmoil For Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) def. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods), Alpha Academy (Otis & Chad Gable), DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa, Indus Sher (Veer Mahaan & Sanga), and Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci)

Order of elimination:

- DIY eliminated American Alpha.

- DIY eliminated Indus Sher.

- The Creed Brothers eliminated DIY.

- The Creed Brothers eliminated The New Day.

- The Creed Brothers eliminated Imperium to win the match.

- Judgment Day is in their lair. Finn Balor arrives and tells Damian Priest that the Creed brothers are no joke and they need to be careful when they wrestle them. Priest feels like he let down the whole team at WarGames, but the rest of the Judgment Day tells him that it's okay because they are family.

- Cody Rhodes came out. He thanked his WarGames team. He talked about CM Punk. He says nobody knew that was going to happen and nobody knows what's going to happen next but he says welcome back, CM Punk. Cody also officially revealed that he's the first entrant in the 2024 Royal Rumble.

- The lights go out and Shinsuke Nakamura cuts a promo on the Titantron saying that he is going to bring chaos to Cody Rhodes and he is no longer waiting. Cody Rhodes turns around to be misted in the face by Nakamura with Red Mist.

* Bronson Reed vs. Ivar ended in a double count-out.

- Afterward, both men continued to brawl in the crowd, not caring if they hurt technicians or security guards.

- Judgment Day goes back to their lair and they find R-Truth and ingesting the jelly rolls. He offers to be Judgment Day's 5th member in WarGames.

* Nia Jax def. Zoey Stark

- Miz tells Gunther backstage that he wants another shot. Gunther questions Miz's sincerity. Miz claims Gunther is aware of his ability to defeat him. Gunther chuckles and says that he is not concerned about Miz. Gunther points out that Miz came to Survivor Series to fight and prove he belonged in the ring, but not with Gunther.

- Seth Rollins comes out. He welcomes CM Punk chants and then says he's not going to waste another moment on that hypocrite because he wants to talk about being a fighting champion. He's interrupted by Drew McIntyre. McIntyre is seemingly back in babyface mode. He shakes Seth Rollins' hand. He says he wants to rematch with Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship and that he's ready to put Jey Uso behind him. Unfortunately for Drew, Seth Rollins reveals that he will defend his title next week against Jey Uso. Drew McIntyre goes insane and attacks Seth Rollins. Jey Uso comes out to make the save and they double Superkick McIntyre

- Sami Zayn tells Drew McIntyre backstage that he needs to get over whatever he's going through because he has also been screwed but he uses that energy to move forward. McIntyre says he's going to face Zayn next week.

* WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Piper Niven & Chelsea Green (c) def. Tegan Nox & Natalya

- Randy Orton is getting ready for his match backstage. Jey Uso finds him and apologizes for his actions as a member of The Bloodline. Randy says that as long as he's out of The Bloodline they're good. Yeet.

- Jackie Redmond interviews Becky Lynch. She says it felt good to make amends on Saturday, but now, she has some fights on the horizon, one more pressing than the others.

* Randy Orton def. Dominik Mysterio

- CM Punk came out for his return promo. He says WWE is his home. He says he needed to be back there. He also says almost everybody's happy to see him. He referenced a wise man who told him he needed to leave WWE to get everything he wanted out of WWE. At the end of his promo, he said he's back and he's not back to make friends he's back for money.
