This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE Smackdown! Live! Tonight we have a great show as in our main event we have a rematch of the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Naomi defends her WWE Smackdown Women's Championship against Lana in a rematch and much more so be sure to come back here at 8PM EST for all of the action!
-Daniel Bryan comes out to start the show and talks about the women matches tonight before being interrupted by Carmella and James Ellsworth. Carmella says she broke no rules and that she did nothing wrong and that it isn't fair. Daniel says that she's right on a few points, but no one has ever grabbed the briefcase and handed it someone else. Daniel polls the fans and they agree that the match should happen before James gets on the mic and berates Daniel about his treatment of Carmella. James says that he doesn't see a man and that he sees a gutless, spineless coward and he made up and injury so he can't wrestle.
Daniel tells James that it's not about him tonight and that he's banned from the arena. The security then come out and escort James from the ring and carry him backstage as we go to commercial.
The Hype Bros vs The Usos
Zack is in control of the Usos before he tags in Mono and takes out Jimmy before sending Jey over the top rope. Mojo then tags in Zack who hits a tope to the outside, then gets hit with an enzuigiri by Jimmy when he tries to get back in the ring as we go to commercial.
Jey hits a huge splash from the top rope as soon as we come back from commercial for the pin and the win.
Winner: The Usos via pinfall
-The New Day come out after the match and get in the ring and congratulate them for winning and that they want the gold and are coming for it at WWE Battleground. The Use then accept the challenge before saying that they should be careful what they wish for before trying to leave. Xavier asks where they're going before Kofi starts insulting them, then Xavier plays the trumpet before the Usos leave as we go to commercial.
Naomi vs Lana WWE Smackdown Women's Championship Match
Lana attacks Naomi before the match starts, then hits a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall before Naomi hits a split legged twisting moonsault for the pin and the win.
Winner: Naomi via pinfall
-Aiden English comes out to the ring and sings before Randy Orton comes out as we go to commercial.
We come back from commercial and see that Randy RKO'd Aiden during the commercial break before showing a video of what he did to Jinder at the end of the last week. Randy says that he wants a rematch and says that if he doesn't get what he wants he'll beat up Jinder before beating him up again tonight and tomorrow and even next week. Shane comes out as Randy starts to leave the ring and says that he understands how Randy feels before making the rematch at Battleground. Shane then says that Jinder will get to pick the stipulation before Jinder comes out to the ramp and says that this is exactly what's wrong with everything before saying that Randy isn't worthy of a rematch among other things in Punjab. Jinder then says that at Battleground he picks a Punjabi Prison match that his idol The Great Khali created before we get a vignette for the prison as Jinder leaves.
-We then have AJ talking to Daniel backstage about Kevin Owens before he shows up and says that his United States Open Challenges are for people he hasn't beaten already, then AJ insults him before Daniel explains John Cena' s open challenge and announces a battle royal for next week to determine who will challenge Kevin Owens at Battleground as we go to commercial.
-Mike and Maria Kanelis come out and start talking before Sami Zayn interrupts them for his match with Baron Corbin.
Sami Zayn vs Baron Corbin
Sami is in control early, sending Corbin out of the ring, but he's caught and dropped onto the barricade when he catches him coming over the top rope as we go to commercial.
Corbin gets a quick two count as we come back from commercial, them showing how Corbin gained the advantage during the commercial break. Sami comes back with a clothesline before Corbin runs shoulder first into the ring post and Sami hits a diving cross body for a quick two count of his own. We see Shinsuke watching the match backstage before Corbin hits Sami with a right hand and a series of clotheslines in the corner. Sami rolls him up for a near fall, then Corbin hits the End of Days when he catches Sami coming in out of no where for the pin and the win.
Winner: Baron Corbin via pinfall
-We have Shinsuke getting interviewed after the match and he says that Corbin is dangerous, but Corbin is afraid of him and he should be before leaving as we go to commercial.
Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Everyone brawls around ringside before brawling out of the ring, then Carmella sets the ladder up and starts to climb it before the other women grab and toss her out of the ring. Becky then clears the ring with exploder suplexes before Tamina hits a Samoan drop to her before hitting a splash off of the top rope as we go to commercial.
Charlotte and Natalya go at it in the ring as we come back from commercial, Tamina sending Carmella over the announce table before getting back in the ring and fighting with Charlotte over the ladder. Tamina clears the ring before Natalya does the same before setting up a ladder, Natalya climbing it only for Charlotte to stop her. They exchange right hands on the ladder before Carmella knocks it over and takes them both out. Becky hits Carmella with an exploder suplex that sends her out of the ring before Tamina spears Becky out of nowhere as we go to commercial.
We come back from commercial to all of the women besides Carmella falling from the ladder, Carmella getting to the top before the others drag the ladder away from the briefcase. Charlotte drops the ladder onto Tamina before pinning her underneath it before climbing the ladder, only for Carmella to stop her before Tamina lifts the ladder while underneath it. Tamina then superkicks Charlotte before setting up the ladder before Natalya and Becky powerbomb her off of it. Natalya hits a sit-out powerbomb for Becky before putting Carmella in a sharpshooter that Charlotte breaks up before hitting Natural Selection to Carmella. Natalya and Charlotte fight in the crowd before James comes out and helps Carmella back into the ring and climbs the ladder again before Becky takes out Carmella and knocks James off of the ladder and to the floor.
Becky turn climbs the ladder, only for Carmella to pull her off of it and hitting her with a chair before Carmella climbs the ladder and gets the briefcase for the win.
Winner: Carmella
