Zack Sabre Jr: Even With Bryan Danielson Winding Down His Schedule, I Know That We Are Not Done Yet

Zack Sabre Jr. isn't finished with Bryan Danielson.

Sabre and Danielson have wrestled in two matches over the past year. The first match took place at AEW WrestleDream in October 2023, while the second bout took place at NJPW The New Beginning in February 2024. Danielson won the first bout, while Sabre was able to score the victory in the second match.

Even with Danielson winding down his status as a full-time performer, it appears that Sabre isn't done with 'The American Dragon' just quite yet.

“I’m forever indebted to Bryan for the match he gave me back in 2008 in a little pub in Coventry." Sabre said while chatting with Sports Illustrated for a new interview. “Few wrestlers have had the direct and indirect influence on my career as old dragon bollocks. There’s also no one else in the world that I can have those kinds of matches with, so I know that we are not done yet–even with Bryan winding down his schedule. We could wrestle every day of the week and it would never feel like enough. I’d love to take that bout truly around the world. We’ve got a couple of continents we haven’t hit yet. Both in and out of the ring, Bryan is one of a kind.”

Sabre is set to face off against Orange Cassidy at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Check out the updated card for that show by clicking here.

Elsewhere in the interview, Sabre said that he still wants to win the G1 Climax and the IGWP World Heavyweight Championship. Learn more about those eommcnets here.
