This February’s UFC Fight Night Belem card doesn’t have a main event announced at this time.
However, according to Yoel Romero’s manager in Malki Kawa, a possible main event of the show could’ve been Romero versus Kelvin Gastelum. Kawa claims that Gastelum turned down the opportunity and he made that claim through Twitter:
Wow, Gastelum turned the Romero fight down. Unreal #anytimeAnywhere? #reallythough?

Gastelum didn’t directly respond to the claim made by Kawa, but recently did issue a statement of his own through Twitter. In the statement, it was the middleweight contender who says he should’ve gotten the next middleweight title shot instead of former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold.
Y’all forgetting Luke is also on a 1 Fight win streak! Got KOd by the guy I just beat! Came back after 2 yrs to beat a guy who didn’t compete in Ufc a year ago https://t.co/miuaO0mC2O

Rockhold is set to challenge UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker this February in the main event of UFC 221.
UFC Fight Night Belem takes place on Saturday, February 3 from the Manguerinho Gymnasium in Belem, Brazil with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
