A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo as Ray Borg faces Merab Dvalishvili.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Borg (13-5-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Gabriel Silva and Rogerio Bontorin. Borg is going to be competing for the third time in 2020, which makes 2020 his most active year as a fighter since 2014. Borg has previously challenged for the UFC Flyweight Title, losing to then champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC 216.
Dvalishvili (10-4-0) comes into the contest riding a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Terrion Ware, Brad Katona and Casey Kenney. Dvalishvili hasn’t been defeated in over two years, with that last loss coming to Ricky Simon at UFC Fight Night Philadelphia. Dvalishvili has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and three of them came to UFC/Bellator MMA veterans.
UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo takes place on Saturday, June 13 from a location to be announced with Jessica Eye and Cynthia Calvillo headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
