Paige and Alberto Del Rio/El Patron have had a rough couple of months, but the couple are now engaged.
During the third and final night of the WWC Aniversario 43 show in the town of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Paige went to the middle of the ring, got on one knee and proposed to her boyfriend, who said yes.
Lucha Libre New Generation made a post on its Facebook page with a photo of Paige proposing. The post, originally in Spanish, said that "Last minute. Paige proposes to Alberto in Mayaguez in front of a euphoric crowd chanting 'yes yes yes yes yes.'"
Pro Wrestling PR posted a video of the 24-year-old making the proposal. Paige said in an interview afterwards that she doesn't think Del Rio expected the proposal.
"I don't he saw it coming," Paige said. "[I feel] good. He didn't say no in front of everyone."
Paige is currently injured and in the midst of a 60-day suspension for her second violation of the WWE Wellness Policy. Del Rio and WWE parted ways back in September after being lost in the shuffle in WWE for months after winning the U.S. Title when he returned to the company in 2015. Del Rio had been wrestling all over the world with various promotions since leaving WWE.
