Who will be AJ's next opponent?
AJ Styles kick-started his second reign as WWE Champion in November of 2017 when he defeated Jinder Mahal in the United Kingdom in the main event of a taped episode of SmackDown Live. Since then Styles went on to defeat Mahal once again, best Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a Handicap match to retain the WWE Title, emerge victorious in a multi-man match, and retain the WWE Championship four separate times when being challenged by Shinsuke Nakamura.
The next stop for AJ Styles in his run as WWE Champion stops through Brooklyn, NY on August 19th which is the SummerSlam PPV. It was announced during tonight's episode of SmackDown Live that the GM Paige will be unveiling who Styles will be defending his title against at the "Biggest Party Of The Summer" and that announcement will be made during next week's SmackDown Live TV tapings at the 'Ford Center' in Evansville, Indiana.
