Anna Jay suffers a major setback.
AEW announced Anna Jay suffered an injury and that will require surgery. She is set to undergo shoulder surgery, which is believed to be for a dislocated shoulder, and is expected to miss six to twelve months.
As a result of her injury, she will be replaced by Madi Wrenkowski in the AEW Women's Title Eliminator Tournament. Wrenkowski will face Britt Baker in a first-round matchup on the US side of the bracket, which airs on Monday, February 22 on YouTube.
Jay last wrestled on the January 12 (taped on January 6) episode of AEW Dark. She previously suffered a shoulder injury before wrestling her first match in 2018. You can find her comments regarding her 2018 dislocated shoulder by clicking here.
