Aubrey Edwards wants payback.
In recent months, Edwards has been involved in a simmering feud with Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal, as the official has been part of multiple matches in which the duo has come up short. Most recently, Edwards came to the ring during their match at AEW Double or Nothing. There, special referee Mark Briscoe as knocked down, and Jarrett and Lethal sought to cheat so they could beat the AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood). Edwards got involved, and Karen Jarrett smashed her with a guitar. Still, FTR emerged victorious.
On the June 2 episode of AEW Rampage, Jeff Jarrett, Karen Jarrett, and Sonjay Dutt discussed the situation. Jeff said their group was walking, talking, fire-breathing heat. They noted that there were rumors they would get suspended for their actions, but Mark Briscoe came over and told them there wouldn't be any suspensions.
Mark stated that "we" wouldn't be able to get revenge on the Jarretts. Mark revealed that he was talking about Edwards, who walked up next to him. Karen got in Aubrey's face, and the referee grabbed Karen by the throat. They briefly brawled before they were separated.
All hell has broken loose between the two sides after what happened at #DoubleOrNothing!
