Big E compliments Montez Ford.
Ford and his tag team partner Angelo Dawkins made their WWE debuts in 2016. Collectively known as The Street Profits, they gradually rose to the top of the brand and won the NXT Tag Team Championship. The duo moved to Raw in 2019, and they have since captured the tag titles on both Raw and SmackDown. Ford has widely been viewed as a potential breakout single star, but he has continued to focus on chasing greatness as a tag team.
On the February 6 episode of WWE Raw, Ford scored a major singles win as he defeated Elias to qualify for the Men's United States Elimination Chamber. As a result, at WWE Elimination Chamber, Ford will challenge for the WWE United States Championship in a match that includes Austin Theory, Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed, and Damian Priest.
Big E was one of the guests on the February 8 episode of WWE's The Bump, Big E was one of the guests. When discussing Monday's episode of WWE Raw, Big E commented on Ford's victory and stated that he has all of the tools. Big E then made it clear that he's excited to see Ford's rise, potentially starting at WWE Elimination Chamber.
"It’s hard not to be a Montez guy. You talk about someone who has all the tools, charismatic as hell, absurdly athletic. He has everything, so it’s about time for Montez to get his. I’m excited to see his rise and see his run. Talk about a star. Guy has screamed ‘star’ for a long time, so it’s time to get Montez cooking," Big E said.
Big E has been sidelined since March 2022, when he landed on his head on a suplex from Ridge Holland. He later announced that fractured his C1 vertebrae and C6 vertebrae, but he didn't suffer any ligament or spinal cord damage. The former WWE Champion recently gave an update on how he's feeling.
