Chelsea Green wants WrestleMania back in Canada.
Despite the fact that the country has hosted a number of major premium live events over the years, Canadian fans have been lobbying for the WrestleMania return, as 'The Show Of Shows' last visited the country back in 2002 for WrestleMania X-8.
Now, Chelsea Green is joining the fray, saying that it's time for WWE to bring WrestleMania back to Canada in a new interview with Faces Magazine.
“We haven’t had a WrestleMania in Canada in over 20 years—it’s time. The fans here bring something special. Just look at how massive Money in the Bank was last year. Now, with WWE’s new Netflix deal giving Canadians access to Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and all premium live events, I think the timing is perfect.”
Green continued on and said that Canada might need to start a petition to bring WrestleMania back to the country.
“I personally think we need to keep bringing more big events to Canada. And honestly, if we don’t get a WrestleMania soon, I think we need to start a petition.”
