Chris Jericho saw something special in The Outrunners.
The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) have had a remarkable run in 2024, as fans rallied around them, and they consistently started getting some of the loudest reactions of the night. The duo unsuccessfully challenged for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at AEW Full Gear. They also competed at AEW Worlds End.
Speaking on Gabby AF, Chris Jericho highlighted The Outrunners and noted that they could win the tag team titles tomorrow, and people would buy it.
“I knew The Outrunners would get over. I had them on my cruise last year. They could be tag team champions tomorrow, and people would buy it and want to see it," Jericho said.
The Young Bucks recently said that creative changed multiple times during their latest run as AEW World Tag Team Champions. Fightful Select then reported that The Outrunners were considered to be the team to beat the Young Bucks at one point, but plans changed.
