The partnership between CMLL and ROH has come to an end.
CMLL announced that their "strategic alliance" with Ring of Honor, which has been in place since 2016, is no more. The official announcement says CMLL will continue to focus its efforts and resources on putting out the best product and thanked ROH for working with them.
From CMLL (Translated by Carlos Toro):
The Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre informs that, as of today, the alliance with the United States promotion Ring Of Honor sustained since 2016, has reached its conclusion.
The CMLL continues to focus its efforts and resources with the goal to keep presenting the best Lucha Libre in the world and appreciates ROH for this period of working together.
El CMLL continúa enfocando sus esfuerzos y recursos con el compromiso de seguir presentando La Mejor Lucha Libre del Mundo y agradece a ROH por este periodo de trabajo en conjunto.

RUSH, the reigning ROH Champion, and Dragon Lee both recently signed extensions with ROH, but left CMLL in 2019. RUSH was critical of CMLL after leaving the promotion, saying CMLL had not taken full advantage of the partnerships with ROH and NJPW.
NJPW and CMLL put out a joint statement in February saying they are committed to their partnership.
ROH and CMLL have not held joint shows since September 2019. ROH COO Joe Koff cited the pandemic as making it challenging to work with partners.
