Daniel Cormier is ready to have his moment in WWE.
Daniel Cormier is a UFC Hall of Famer, but pro wrestling has been a passion of his for the majority of his life. At WWE Extreme Rules, DC steps into the Fight Pit to referee the action between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle. When asked by ESPN if he wants to have a "WrestleMania moment," Cormier agreed that he wants a moment worthy of the grandest stage of them all, but is open to that moment happening for him at WWE Extreme Rules. He also says a WrestleMania moment doesn't necessarily have to be a match at the show of shows, citing Ronda Rousey's involvement at WrestleMania 31 in 2015.
"Yes, I need a moment because like I said, I've always [wanted to be] involved. But a WrestleMania moment could be just Ronda arm-throwing Triple H, you know? So it doesn't necessarily have to be a match. Yes, maybe I get my moment at Extreme Rules."
One potential wrestling match for Daniel Cormier that would be worthy of WrestleMania is a match against Brock Lesnar. Elsewhere in this interview, Cormier says he hasn't heard of any future plans involving him wrestling Brock Lesnar, but he's glad people are talking about it. Read more here.
