Darby Allin Feels 2022 Coffin Match Was Brody King's Coming Out Party In AEW

Darby Allin looks back on his coffin match with Brody King in 2022.

During AEW Dynamite's special Quake By The Lake episode in August of 2022, Darby Allin met with someone who has become a familiar foe for him in Brody King in a coffin match. Allin would win the matchup after choking out King with a chain.

While speaking on a recent episode of A Meal And A Match, Darby reflected on the match with King, stating his belief that it was King's coming out party as a singles act in All Elite Wrestling.

“The thing with Brody, I feel like this was his AEW coming out party to show what was he was capable of as a singles act. I feel like, you know, he’s in House Of Black, trios team. This is to me like, what can Brody King do by himself? I still feel like he’s so underrated in the grand scheme of AEW by far.”

As previously mentioned, King and Allin have become familiar foes in the ring, most recently facing off at AEW WrestleDream last month, with Darby walking away with the victory.

Elsewhere in the same interview, Darby spoke about his recovery process for vicious bumps. You can read more about that here.
