Lio Rush wants to prove that he's the best.
In January 2024, Lio Rush will return to GCW for the first time in nearly a year, as he will wrestle on the promotion's shows on January 13, January 14, and January 26.
Rush has had some big matches in the promotion over the years, competing against the likes of Nick Gage, Blake Christian, and Joey Janela.
While speaking to Fightful's Grapsody podcast for a new interview, Rush was asked about the possibility of bringing a new persona to GCW in 2024. In response, the star noted that he just wants to test himself, noting that he doesn't want to take pictures and shake hands.
"You're going to have to wait. I think this interview is over you're asking too many goddamn questions [joking]. Man, I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't want to be the best at doing it. So 2024, just bring them all. Bring them all. I want to test myself. I want to test people. People are too goddamn nice. That's what it is. In 2023, people are too damn nice and I'm fucking tired of it. Everybody wants to take pictures with each other. Everybody wants to shake hands at the end of the match. Everybody wants to say they're the best and nobody wants to step up and counter-say they're the best. I'm the best and people know I'm the best. So put me in a ring with the best and we'll see who the best is."
