A major title change took place on AEW Dynamite Wednesday September 30th, with Sammy Guevara defeating Miro to become the TNT Champion. By a couple of hours ahead of the show, several backstage knew the title change was taking place.
Fightful has learned that plans were put in place for the title change around All Out. Beyond that, at one point the title change was tentatively planned for the AEW Arthur Ashe show on September 22, before being moved to this week. We're told that even adding the two to the Arthur Ashe Rampage show was somewhat of a late decision after the move.
