FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) will finally challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the December 7 episode of AEW Dynamite.
On the December 2 episode of AEW Rampage, The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) came to the ring. The reigning AEW World Tag Team Champions said they want to face the best, and after brief interruptions from The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn) and Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal, FTR came to the ring and shook hands with the champions. The match was later confirmed for Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite.
FTR hold the AAA, ROH, and IWGP Tag Team Championship, and they are former AEW World Tag Team Champions. They have been the top-ranked team for months, but they hadn't gotten a shot at the gold prior to Wednesday's announcement.

Speaking of former champions looking to win their gold back, Darby Allin will challenge Samoa Joe for the TNT Championship on Wednesday. Allin previously won the title back at AEW Full Gear 2020 and lost it to Miro on the May 12 episode of AEW Dynamite in 2021. Joe won the title by defeating Wardlow and Powerhouse Hobbs in a three-way match at AEW Full Gear 2022.
Plus, TBS Champion Jade Cargill & The Baddies ( Leila Grey & Red Velvet) will face Madison Rayne, Skye Blue, and Kiera Hogan in a trios match. Hogan was recently fired from The Baddies, and she'll be out for revenge on Wednesday.
