- The men's Royal Rumble opened this year's Premium Live Event. Incumbent WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER entered the Royal Rumble at number one and made history, breaking Rey Mysterio's record for the longest time in a Royal Rumble match.
GUNTHER spent 1 hour, 12 minutes, and 35 seconds in the Royal Rumble Match before being eliminated by Cody Rhodes, who won the match.
- Speaking of Cody Rhodes, "The American Nightmare" paid homage to the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega before pointing to the WrestleMania sign. Cody Rhodes would make the "too sweet" hand gesture, followed by a gunpoint before pointing at the WrestleMania sign.

- During the post-show press conference, Triple H confirms a Fightful Select story that this is the largest gate in Royal Rumble history. Also, Triple H said this event doubled their highest sponsorship highs

- The Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match was one for the history books. At the end of the match, Bray Wyatt would incapacitate LA Knight allowing Uncle Howdy to throw caution to the wind in the name of harming LA Knight.

- Bianca Belair successfully retained her WWE Raw Women's Championship tonight against Alexa Bliss, who Uncle Howdy later sent a message to Bliss.
