MLW sent Fightful.com the following, announcing a match between former World Heavyweight Champion Jake Hager (Jack Swagger) and Simon Gotch:
Bellator fighter and All American Jake Hager (managed by Colonel Parker) is in for a big apple grapple this Thursday when MLW returns to New York City for the first time in 16 years. Major League Wrestling today announced catch wrestlerSimon Gotch vs. Jake Hager for this Thursday’s July 19th MLW Battle Riot at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, NY.
With bad blood boiling between Team Filthy and Colonel Parker’s Stud Stable, the 6’7” Jake Hager looks to continue dominating the competition when he takes on Team Filthy’s Gotch.
Hager enters the match having put Jeff Cobb in the hospital. Will the Great Gotch’s scientific catch wrestling style derail Hager’s march up the top 10? Or will another grappler be sent to the hospital? Find out live this Thursday in NYC. (buy tickets)
But that’s not all! Colonel Robert Parker will be available for a meet and greet for ALL ticket holders prior to bell time. Autograph/photo pricing for the Colonel will be announced soon.
Tickets are available now at: https://mlwnyc.eventbrite.com.
The winner of the 40-man Battle Riot will receive a World Title shot anytime, anywhere. Elimination is by pinfall, submission or by throwing an individual over the top rope in this no DQ mega match. [Buy tickets]
