Jay White: Me vs. Kazuchika Okada Is Bigger Than Kenny Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada

Switchblade says it's his time and his era.

Jay White is now the leader of Bullet Club and has been for several years. White took over the faction following the departure of Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, and Adam Page.

Jay White has expanded to include new members and welcome in old members. In a new interview with Sports Illustrated, ahead of NJPW Rumble on 44th Street in New York City, white says that for him, it's not a storyline. He feels like he was not wanted as the leader of Bullet Club and now, he is proud to say that he feels like his name means more on the marquee opposite that of Kazuchika Okada than Kenny Omega's name.

“This isn’t a story to me,” White says. “This is my life. I’m not the guy people wanted when Kenny left. But whether they liked me or not, they couldn’t deny how good I was or how ready I was to step up to that position. Now they know they were wrong. This is my title and my time. Me and Okada is even bigger than Kenny-Okada.”

Also, Kenny spoke about his desire to see Bullet Club expand into all promotions, once again touting that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are back with WWE.

“I wanted to extend and expand Bullet Club bigger than we have before,” White says. “It took time, but I’ve brought Bullet Club to AEW and IMPACT. That helped solidify us and gave us a new platform. Now I have the platform as IWGP champion to take Bullet Club to a new level.

“I feel like I’m living up to everything that I set out to do. Look at the state of Bullet Club. Look at The Good Brothers going back to WWE.”

Recently, New Japan Pro-Wrestling stated they wanted to strip Karl Anderson of the NEVER Openweight Championship. Learn more about that here.
