Jim Ross Feels That None Of WWE's Male Stars Have Enough Momentum To Main Event WrestleMania 35

Jim Ross gives his take on what could be the main event of WrestleMania 35.

The on-going feud between SmackDown Live Women's Champion Becky Lynch and RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey has captivated the WWE Universe and it mostly derives from their interactions on social media. Becky Lynch's consistent breaking down of others stars on social media has garnered her the attention and respect from wrestling fans and it shows when she steps out in front of the live crowds on weekly television. Ronda and Becky were slated to go one-on-one at WWE Survivor Series last month but during the SmackDown invasion angle on WWE RAW, Becky was hit with a straight right hand to face by Nia Jax.

Becky would end up missing her Survivor Series bout and she is now gearing up to defend the SmackDown Live Women's Title in a Triple-Threat TLC match against Charlotte Flair and Asuka next Sunday. Ronda's road post-Becky has seen her get beaten down by Charlotte Flair and now she must do battle with Nia Jax once again come TLC with the RAW Women's Championship on the line.

Many former wrestlers, fans and wrestling enthusiast see the light in not getting Becky versus Ronda at Survivor Series because it leaves the door open for the bout to happen at WrestleMania 35 and some feel as though the feud is hot enough to close out the spectacle. WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross agrees with those sentiments and he echoed them while being interviewed by Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated and Ross stated that he would feel very comfortable with having Ronda Rousey versus Becky Lynch close out WrestleMania.

“I would be very comfortable in booking Becky Lynch versus Ronda Rousey in the main event at WrestleMania,” said Ross. “I wouldn’t be offended if they added Charlotte to that match, but right now, Becky and Ronda would be my match on top. That’s the hottest thing they have going right now. Right now, none of the men are red hot,” said Ross. “You can’t say that about the women. They have captivated the attention of the fans. There is no male red hot enough to make me want to supersede putting them above Rousey or Lynch in the main event at WrestleMania. WWE can also market to the outside world that this is the first time in history that women are going to close the show. That is an amazing opportunity, and these women would be pioneers for the company.”

Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey surely believe they can close "The Grandest Stage Of Them All". During a recent interview, Becky stated that she is indeed the face of WWE whether anyone wants to admit it or not. For more on that, click here.
