John Cena thinks Velveteen Dream is special.
At Megacon in Orlando Florida, John Cena took part in a Q & A session where fans were able to ask him questions about wrestling and movies. One fan asked Cena if he had anyone on his list to wrestle from NXT and he picked new arrival EC3.
"There's a fellow that just arrived by the name of EC3. The only reason I'd put him at the top of the list is because he's been involved with WWE before and now he's re-involved and reinvigorated. He's got himself in good shape. He's feeling confident in himself but he made one fatal mistake, he said he was going to finish me, like take me out of the WWE. I would like to have a match with EC3 just to let him know that as good as he's going to do, no matter how hard he tries. He's not on the same planetary scale as me," said Cena.
Cena and EC3 have never had a match with each other as EC3 was in NXT most of the time his first stint with WWE. Another fan asked Cena to pick between Adam Cole, Ricochet, and Velveteen Dream as an opponent and Cena picked a wrestler that he had high praise for in Velveteen Dream.
"I would rather face Velveteen Dream. You know how in the Star Wars movies the old Jedis can look at the rookie Jedis and be like 'I think that's the one.' I kind of have a weird midi-chlorian feeling about Velveteen Dream. I think there's something special there," said Cena.
