JTG: WWE Wanted To Do A Cryme Tyme 'Where Are They Now' Before Pandemic

Cryme Tyme disbanded in 2010 with Shad Gaspard turning on JTG. Gaspard was released later in the year while JTG remained with the company until 2014. Though they haven't been with WWE as a team in a decade, there were plans to bring them back in some capacity this year.

Speaking to Lilian Garcia on Chasing Glory, JTG revealed recent talks with WWE before the coronavirus pandemic and Shad Gaspard's untimely passing.

Saraya Says She Is 'Taking A Little Break' From AEW

"The last time were backstage two years ago, the head of talent relations saw and was like, 'You look amazing, you look great. The door is always open. We would love to have you back.' There was talk but nothing ever became of it. I also heard through the grapevine our name was brought up a couple of times. Then they reached out to us right when the quarantine started about a Where Are They Now? episode. But they never did it," he said.

Gaspard sadly passed away on May 17 when he was pulled under by a rip current in Venice Beach. Before his passing, he ran into Triple H at FOX. You can check out Triple H's comments on their run in by clicking here.
