We haven't seen the last of Kenny Omega in NJPW.
Appearing on Wrestling Observer Radio, Kenny Omega stated that it is written in his AEW contract that he can appear anytime he wants in NJPW. "I made sure it was written in and I have the freedom to appear there," said Omega.
Omega went on to say "there is more for me to do there" and that the door is open for AEW and NJPW to work together. NJPW has a working agreement with ROH and officials from all three companies reportedly met after Wrestle Kingdom 13 to try and reach a three-way agreement. NJPW reportedly decided to honor their working agreement with ROH and wouldn't be working with AEW at that point.
As previously reported, Omega signed a four-year deal with All Elite Wrestling that will see him not only be part of the active roster, but also take an official role as Executive Vice President. When detailing negotiations between WWE, AEW, and NJPW, Omega stated that NJPW put together "the weakest offer of the three."
Chris Jericho, who signed a three-year deal with AEW, also has the option to return to NJPW.
Jericho and Omega are continuing their NJPW feud in AEW as the two are set to meet at the AEW Double or Nothing on May 25. They previously battled at Wrestle Kingdom 12. It's unknown when Omega, or Jericho, will return to NJPW.
