Hangman Page was ranked number one in the latest AEW official rankings.
He met the criteria to be selected for an AEW World Title match, but he wasn't.
Instead, he and the Dark Order had to win a ten-man tag team elimination match on AEW Dynamite against The Super Elite. They didn't. Now, the future of Hangman Page and his AEW World Title aspirations are in question.
For reigning AEW Champion Kenny Omega, he was offended Hangman was ever in the same conversation as him.
Hangman was a threat. I’m not saying he wasn’t a threat. But me being compared to him… I took offense to that. https://t.co/qAakWb0FAm

Omega showed why he's on another level than Hangman on Dynamite, hitting six v-triggers in one half of their match before giving a shrug.
That might not be true, but Omega and the Super Elite were victorious, denying Hangman and the Dark Order title matches the same way Michael Jordan denied Clyde Drexler an NBA Championship in 1992.
