Kenny Omega Returns, Chris Jericho Issues Challenge For WrestleDream Trios Match On 9/22 AEW Rampage

Kenny Omega is back.

On AEW Rampage: Grand Slam, Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita came to the ring. Callis introduced Sammy Guevara as the newest member of the Don Callis Family after Guevara betrayed Chris Jericho on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. Guevara explained his actions by saying Jericho held him back, and he found a new family with Callis. Jericho came out and took the fight to Guevara, but he was outnumbered by Sammy, Takeshita, and Callis.

Callis went to use a screwdriver on Jericho, but Kenny Omega ran in for the save.

The appearance marked Omega's return for the first time since he lost to Takeshita at AEW All Out.

In an interview backstage, Omega noted that his actions weren't about Jericho; instead, he was determined to deal with Callis. Jericho interrupted and noted that AEW was built on his rivalry with Omega, but now they had a common enemy. Jericho then challenged Takeshita and Guevara to face him and Omega at AEW WrestleDream on October 1.

AEW then confirmed that Omega, Jericho, and Kota Ibushi will face Takeshita, Guevara, and a partner at AEW WrestleDream.

Fightful will provide more information as it becomes available.
