Kevin Kiley, formerly Alex Riley in WWE, reflects on his on-screen pairing with The Miz.
During his time as Alex Riley in WWE, Kevin Kiley was paired with The Miz. First, Riley and Miz were an NXT season 2 pro & rookie combination. That relationship would blossom into Alex Riley joining The Miz on the main roster despite not winning NXT season 2.
Riley would stand by The Miz throughout Miz's only long run with the WWE Championship. Riley would stand beside The Miz as he defeated John Cena at Wrestlemania 27. Eventually, the pair would go their separate ways, and Alex Riley was able to defeat The Miz at WWE Capitol Punishment 2011. Still, his career wouldn't take off in the way he anticipated.
Now, Kevin Kiley is reflecting on his pairing with Miz in a new interview PWMania. Kiley has nothing but positive things to say about the former WWE Champion, stating he has a heart of gold and was always good to him.
“It was a huge opportunity to be put with a guy who was that talented. We played off each other very well, and I even got a spot on WrestleMania because of it. When I was put on NXT, I thought I was doing pretty well. We just got paired up naturally and it was great. He’s a really good guy, has a good heart, and was always good to me,” said Kiley.
Kiley returned to televised wrestling at NWA Nuff Said in a losing effort against EC3.
