LA Knight is finally a champion.
At WWE SummerSlam, LA Knight challenged Logan Paul for the WWE United States Championship. Machine Gun Kelly appeared during Paul's entrance. Knight rolled up in the PRIME truck that he stole from Paul, and he smashed the window.
Paul took the fight to Knight during his entrance, and they brawled at ringside. The hard-fought battle continued once they got back in the ring. Paul then wowed the crowd with a springboard moonsault.

Paul went for his signature knock-out punch, but Knight countered. They kept going back and forth, and Paul hit the punch for a near fall. Knight then fired up with a superplex that left both men down.

In the closing minutes, Knight kicked Jeff from Paul's entourage. MGK gave Paul his brass knuckles, and Paul hit Knight with them. But Knight persevered and caught him with the Blunt Force Trauma for the win. In doing so, he won the WWE United States Championship.

This marks Knight's first title win on the WWE main roster. He previously won the Million Dollar Championship in NXT.
With the loss, Paul's reign ends at 272 days. He defeated Rey Mysterio to win the title at WWE Crown Jewel 2023, and he only defended the championship twice.
