Lee McAteer believes in Joe Hendry.
2024 has been a landmark year for Joe Hendry, as he has found himself repeatedly going viral. With an NXT Premium Live Event main event earlier this year and a TNA World Title match still to come at Gensis, Hendry's success continues to come.
While speaking to the A2TheK in a recent interview, PROGRESS owner Lee McAteer discussed obtaining visa's for certain talent, while also highlighting Joe Hendry betting on himself by paying for his own and thriving in the United States.
"But if you look at somebody that's absolutely smashed the opportunity, who had to pay a huge amount of money to get that visa in the first place was someone like Joe Hendry. You look at what Joe's achieving now, couldn't be proud of him. He's absolutely fantastic, deserves every single thing that he's getting. But if he was on this show right now, he'd tell you how he had to pay a huge amount of money for his visa, had to do it all himself. But he backed himself to succeed."
Hendry previously competed at two PROGRESS events in 2022.
