During the AEW Dark: Elevation tapings ahead of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan offered Lee Moriarty a contract with the promotion. Moriarty accepted the offer. The moment took place following Moriarty's bout against Daniel Garcia.
Moriarty is one of the most heralded independent wrestlers who first began appearing on AEW television on the August 17 episode of AEW Dark when he faced Dante Martin. He has also competed against Joey Janela on AEW Dark.
