The Senate has confirmed Linda McMahon as the new secretary of education in the Donald Trump Administration.
Linda McMahon, who served as the head of the Small Business Administration for a brief time during the first time Donald Trump Administration, was confirmed by the Senate on March 3. Linda was confirmed with a vote of 51-45, and the Administration has said that McMahon will be in charge of dismantling the current structure of the Department of Education. However, the administration cannot close the department as they will need approval from Congress to do so.
McMahon, the former WWE CEO, served on the Connecticut State Board of Education for about a year.
Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Shane McMahon attended her Senate confirmation hearing. Vince McMahon was not present as the two are currently separated.
Donald Trump is the 45th and 47th president of the United States, and he's also a member of the WWE Hall of Fame. He was inducted into the hall in 2013 at Madison Square Garden.
