Nick Aldis was greeted by an old friend at NWA Into The Fire as Marty Scurll made his return to the promotion, confronting the NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
Scurll stood in front of Aldis to close the show after Aldis proclaimed that no one could defeat him. Aldis had just successfully defended the NWA World Heavyweight Title against James Storm in a two out of three falls bout.
Shocked at seeing his friend, Aldis backed off as the show went dark. The feed resumed, but Scurll's interview cut off as the stream froze. It is unknown if the interview will air at a later date. Scurll previously challenged Aldis for the NWA World Heavyweight Title at NWA Crockett Cup in April. Aldis was victorious in the bout.

Scurll's contract with ROH has reportedly expired, thus making him a free agent. He wrestled for ROH on Friday at Final Battle and is scheduled to wrestle at Final Battle Fallout on Sunday. NWA will tape two nights of NWA Powerrr on Sunday and Monday. It is unknown if Scurll will appear at either set of tapings.
The contract status of Scurll and NWA is also unknown.
