Jeff Hardy captured his fifth WWE Intercontinental Championship when he defeated AJ Styles on the August 21st episode of SmackDown.
This is Jeff Hardy's first Intercontinental Championship reign since returning to the company in 2017 alongside his brother, Matt Hardy, at WrestleMania 33. Since then, Matt Hardy has gone his own way and is now in All Elite Wrestling.
Blood is, of course, thicker than promotional boundaries and Matt Hardy took to Twitter after Jeff's successful evening to congratulate his brother.
Congratulations, Brother Nero!

Now that Jeff has recaptured the first-ever singles championships he won in WWE. Many fans are waiting for another return in Jeff's career, his “No More Words” theme song.
Jeff’s wife, Beth Hardy, revealed on Twitter tonight that the theme song will definitely make its return just as Jeff promised months ago but if the decision has been made to wait for a traditional live crowd.
No More Words is being reserved for an actual live crowd.
