Matt Hardy Invites "The Bucks Of Youth" To Starrcade

On Monday, WWE announced that they were bringing back the classic WCW event “Starrcade” as a special live event on Saturday, November 25 from the original home of the show, Greensboro, North Carolina.

It was immediately met with both excitement and anger, depending on who was talking. But make no mistake, it was something that was talked about.

Multiple CMLL Stars Announced For Next Saturday's 'All Lucha' Edition Of AEW Rampage

The show will be a Smackdown branded show, but a pair of RAW superstars will be making an appearance as Matt and Jeff Hardy are being advertised for the show in their home state. And Matt Hardy seems to have an idea to make the event even bigger, and it involves past foes for the Hardys.

There has been some discussion about former WWE superstar and current ROH World Champion Cody Rhodes showing up at the event, which was originated by Cody's dad Dusty Rhodes, perhaps to team with his brother Goldust against The Hardy Boyz.

In response to a fan’s tweet on the matter, Matt Hardy stated that he would “love” for Cody to bring his fellow Bullet Club members The Young Bucks to the show. In addition, Matt Hardy said he would bring his wife Reby, son King Maxel, and Senor Benjamin along for the ride.

For those that don’t remember, the Hardys and Young Bucks had an incredible ladder match back in April at Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor XI event where the Bucks took the ROH Tag Team Championships off of the brothers Hardy. This match took place just one night before the legendary tag team returned to the WWE in the RAW Tag Team Championship ladder match at WrestleMania where they won the titles.

Of the matches being advertised for Starrcade, two of them are Steel Cage Matches, one for the WWE Championship between WWE Champion Jinder Mahal and Shinsuke Nakamura as well as Charlotte Flair challenging Natalya for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship.

There has been no word regarding potential plans for the WWE to stream the event on the WWE Network.
